JOB DESCRIPTION
The position of Sales & Print salesperson is a high energy position with print growth opportunities. The salesperson will alternate between operating print equipment, making graphic arts edits, and helping customers in the UPS store. Salesperson will also produce marketing material including eblast and social media. Salesperson will participate in outside networking, outside sales, and booth events.
THE POSITION REQUIRES SIGNIFICANT PRINTING EXPERIENCE. Printing will include making canvas wraps, creating and printing business cards/rack cards/brochures/posters on a production printer, printing & binding engineering dwgs, laminating, coil binding, and outsource ordering.
The position does not require shipping experience. However, good customers skills and working with the public is essential in the position. All shipping, mail handling, and notary skills will be provided for the associate.
Print sales, outside sales or Retail sales experience is a requirement. Position requires a person to be comfortable selling to the public as well as to individual business owners.
The associate will daily work at the counter of the UPS store between and during printing operations. Being able to multi task and change between a printing operation to helping a customer and then back to the printing operation is a critical skill for the position.
The associate needs to be able to work well with others and show patience in teaching print skills. Teaching other associates software and machine operations is a routine part of the position.
The associate is provided with and expected to continue education through the UPS store educational opportunities. Continued growth and opportunity is an expectation for this position.
All The UPS store associates must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand on their feet for long periods of time. This position is fast moving and physically active.

The ideal candidate has previous printing retail sales experience, printing production experience, fundamental graphic arts experience, strong computer and internet skills, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time. He or she must enjoy people and be able to sell to the customer.
