    Become a valuable member of our team as a Staff Accountant in the thriving sustainable renewable products industry. Reporting directly to the CFO and collaborating closely with the Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in updating financial records, ensuring precise reporting, and contributing to the preparation of financial statements and reports. We are seeking a candidate Mid-level to Senior with a passion for learning and a drive to support the successful growth of our organization.

    Experience:

    • • Commanding computer proficiency, specializing in spreadsheet software (MAC knowledge is a valuable asset)
    • Essential expertise in QuickBooks Desktop
    • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding tight deadlines
    • Demonstrates exemplary personal integrity and an unwavering work ethic
    • Boasts over 2-10 years of substantial accounting experience (Training offered as needed)
    • Adept in handling financial statements, AP, and AR processes with precision
    • Exceptional communication prowess, adept in both verbal and written interactions across all levels
    • Flourishes in a collaborative team environment, fostering innovation and mutual success
    • Diligently upholds confidentiality and safeguards sensitive information
    • Initiates projects independently within established processes, showcasing a self-starter mentality
    • Masters the art of effective time management, excelling in multitasking scenarios
    • Maintains a poised and composed demeanor under pressure
    • Radiates a positive and optimistic attitude, enhancing team morale and overall workplace ambiance

    Responsibilities:

    • Monthly reconciliation of accounts for accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
    • Perform monthly reconciliation of the sales tax account to ensure precision in reporting
    • Timely completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements and other reporting items
    • Assist in gathering and compiling information for quarterly budget reviews and annual budgeting
    • Compile data and schedules required for audits and tax filings
    • Support Purchasing and Project Coordination Staff as needed with Quickbooks
    • Approve Vendor Invoices as necessary for entry by the Bookkeeper
    • Review weekly AP reports prepared by the Bookkeeper
    • Act as a liaison with outside accounting firms and payroll processors for timely reporting
    • Prepare outgoing wire transfers as needed for approval/processing by upper management
    • Import .QBO and .IFF files into Quickbooks and merge accounts as required
    • Process daily check approval with the bank as needed
    • Close vision, and color vision ability required.
    • Safely and effectively lift, carry, and move objects of varying weights.
    • Bending, stooping, reaching, balancing, standing, and walking, for extended periods and maintain the necessary physical dexterity and coordination.

    Education / Certifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field
