    We are hiring a Principal Systems Engineer (Transition & Decommission) to work in Annapolis Junction, MD. Position location is subject to change based on central MD client's needs.

    Required: TS/SCI with a Polygraph

    As a T&D Systems Engineer on our team, you will provide senior systems engineering support to a capabilities-focused T&D team. These duties encompass the engineering activities and operational transition support activities for current and future T&D activities. SE support includes gathering and documenting legacy functions required in the modern architecture, translating functions into Minimal Viable Products for developers, consulting with Operations and Capabilities leads to resolve knowledge gaps, facilitating risk assessments, and documenting meeting discussions and actions. You will also assist with developing, integrating and maintaining T&D schedules and Historic Data Migration (HDM) plans; assist in establishing and maintaining good relationships with mission lead counterparts to ensure needs are addressed; and be willing to work proactively to identify and resolve emerging issues. You will collaborate and partner to accomplish all tasks.

    Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

    • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline plus at least 15 years of systems engineering experience. A Master's degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 19 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
    • Ability to plan and deliver engineering projects with unique/ complex aspects that impact major capabilities of high priority to the enterprise.
    • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

    Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

    • Experience in defining an effort from mission outcomes/objectives to key tasks, collaborating with others monitoring and preparing out-reports, with the ability to embrace cross-directorate collaboration, and work with/advise others with little or no Systems Engineering experience.
    • Experience in development/ implementation of SE processes and procedures.
    • Experience with Transition & Decommission.
