WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

The Commission Analyst will report to the VP of Finance. They will be an experienced finance professional with proven technical skills in analysis and financial modeling and with the ability to work across constituencies. This position is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate submission of sales teams commissions and/or bonuses in accordance with compensation plans, standard business practices, and internal controls.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze and adjust transactions to ensure accuracy per plan eligibility.
• Review and process appropriately approved sales credit adjustments.
• Build and maintain meaningful and insightful analytics regarding sales commission and compensation.
• Manage plant hierarchy set up required for Sales Representatives and Managers.
• Calculate, validate accuracy of, and submit monthly and/or quarterly commission payments to Management within specified deadlines.
• Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, Accounting, Finance, and HR/Payroll to identify and implement operational improvements related to internal and cross-functional processes.
• Assist in process change, improvements, and new system integrations.
• Provide standard and ad hoc reporting solutions that will drive management decision making and lead to improved operations.

THE RIGHT PERSON WOULD HAVE

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field.
• Three plus years of compensation experience in finance, with experience in retail or CPG highly preferred.
• Systems experience including data mining, sequel, access/database skill set, as well as advanced Excel modeling.
• Strong technical skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to think outside the box and improve processes.
• Ability to multi-task and work overtime as necessary to complete projects and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and able to work with little direct supervision.
• Strong written, verbal and quantitative skills.
• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce highly preferred.
