    Job Description

    The Compliance Coordinator will assist with implementing an effective healthcare compliance program by providing knowledge and direction through developing and administering the compliance program. In addition, the Compliance Coordinator will ensure that Therapy Brands operations and its employees adhere to healthcare laws and regulations by developing, maintaining, reviewing, and revising compliance-related policies and procedures and creating healthcare compliance communications, education, and competencies.

     

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

    • Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of issues and provides guidance on how to avoid similar situations in the future. (Ongoing maturity and maintenance.)
    • Maintain effectiveness of the RCM compliance program
    • Maintain effective lines of communication that will allow Therapy Brands employees to report compliance-related concerns
    • Assist with compliance risk assessments and investigations and responds to violations and corrective actions for reports of alleged noncompliance
    • Establish and monitor a process for receiving, documenting, tracking, and investigating all compliance-related activities.
    • Lead compliance meetings and collaborate with outside departments to identify concerns and potential solutions
    • Develop, modify, and disseminates compliance protocols and education materials
    • Annually review educational compliance documentation for accuracy and coordinate annual staff compliance education
    • Ensure accordance with Federal healthcare programs such as HIPPA, Anti-kickback Statute, Stark Law, False Claims Act, Medicare billing, etc.
    • Partners with Therapy Brands Security Team on all matters
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Deep Knowledge of Regulations –detailed knowledge of relevant regulations
    • A minimum of (3) years’ experience in healthcare compliance, to include demonstrated responsibilities in creating processes and programs in the areas of privacy and compliance.
    • Associate degree or four-year degree desired
    • Analytical and detail oriented, as well as possessing strong interpersonal skills. 
    • Certification is strongly desired Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC), Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), or Certified Compliance Professional (CCP)  
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Strong ability to prioritize tasks
    • The ability to analyze and make actionable decisions from data
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Strong computer skills (typing, data entry, general computer, and browser usage)
    • Strong Google Suite/Microsoft Office (Word. Excel) knowledge
