MANUFACTURING PRODUCT ENGINEER

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· New product development based on market demand for products.
· Conduct studies for introduction of new products based on customer requirements & request for quotes from customers.
· Coordinate with Production, R&D and Quality teams to validate new product introduction through trial production and testing.
· Oversee Production to ensure products conform to all applicable industry specifications and safety regulations.
· Ensure confidentiality of all new product information for organization.
· Provide Technical/Engineering support to Sales, Customer Service and to external customers.
· Continuously evaluate products for reduction in Material, Process and Operating costs allowing Improvement and to be more competitive in the market.
· Select product materials and manufacturing process based on customer requirements.
· Prepare new Product Engineering Specifications for Costing/Pricing.
· Maintain Product/Process Engineering Specifications in the Computer Data Base.
· Update or Revise Product Specifications based on changes in customer requirements or changes in industry standards applicable to the products.
· Maintain all updated standards applicable to the products being manufactured.
· Support manufacturing operations when needed in resolving Process Engineering, Specifications or Quality related problems.
· Support Production with tooling requirements.
· Liaison with Regulatory Agencies like UL (Underwriter’s Lab) and CSA (Canadian Standard Association) and others to maintain Certifications of Products.
· Represent the organization in SAE/ISO meetings.
· Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field
· Previous experience working as a Product Manufacturing Engineer
· ISO 9001:2015 Standard Knowledge (preferred)
· Computer Skills (Microsoft and other related software applications)
· Analytical skills with emphasis on details
