JOB DESCRIPTION – INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The function of the Inside Sales Representative is to provide direct support and development of existing and prospective Thermik customers. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining up-to-date customer accounts, responding to customer’s requests through phone interaction or email in a timely manner, developing quotes, and ensuring customer orders are accurately processed and match customer expectations. This is a fast-paced, customer-service position that requires real attention to detail. The customer experience must be excellent and profitable – for both the customer and Thermik. Quality is the core of the Thermik brand. Ultimately, success in this position means aligning with our vision of quality, continuous improvement, and productivity.
The Inside Sales position is a full-time administrative position in our order department. This position is first shift (our only shift).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Answer incoming calls and email and put forward a positive and professional image/impression (verbal and written) at all times, as primary “face of the company.”
· Respond promptly and appropriately to customer inquiries and requests for product information, quotes, orders, or problem/issue resolutions.
· Answer technical phone and email questions from customers, utilizing Thermik engineering and technical resources, including triaging more technical questions to appropriate department(s).
· Continuously increase understanding and knowledge of company’s products and product line functionality across different applications (customer uses), to act as customer-advisor on Thermik products.
· In concert with head of engineering, initiate and develop complex unique quotes for customers, ensuring part specification is correct and matches customer application, researching and using established quotes and MOQ/MOT guidelines.
· Manage and fulfill customer requests for samples, determining and ensuring sample orders are for customers’ new product development needs.
· Process customer’s incoming purchase orders into company’s ERP system, including full responsibility for accuracy thoroughness, and systematically and consistently following established processes for order entry, with attention to correcting missing or incorrect details on each PO.
· Proactively ensure technical specifications of incoming customer orders, clarifying customer assumptions and expectations, and researching technical information with engineering department.
· Ensure final sales order is accurate and complete, to enable all departments to properly engineer, make, ship and bill the order, including making unique spot decisions on orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
· Promptly send all order confirmations to customers.
· Ensure all change-order information (customer and/or Thermik department) is entered correctly and thoroughly into sales orders, ensuring final confirmations with customer.
