DESCRIPTION 

POSITION SUMMARY

·         Applies principles of cost accounting to collect and analyze variety of historical and estimated cost and pricing data. Prepares moderately complex bids and pricing proposals that are economically feasible and competitive. Analyzes moderately complex production cost performance data. Support Senior Pricing Analyst on large pricing proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

·         Proficient with automated estimating, pricing, and accounting systems, spreadsheet and database applications, and standard business applications software. Ability to read, analyze, organize, and interpret moderately complex estimates, price proposals, and financial reports.

·         Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions by drawing on experience with similar situations.

·         Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, team leaders, and top management. General knowledge and ability to apply continuous improvement techniques to work area.

·         Knowledge of accounting principles, methods, and concepts, including Cost Accounting

·         Standards (CAS), industry practices, FAR regulations, and policies is a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·         Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Accounting, Business Administration
