JOB DETAILS: Req. ID: 8098072 Job Title: RN Unit Manager Location: Hamden, CT 06514 Position Type: Contract Duration: 11 weeks Shift Schedule: Evening Shift Timing: 03:00 PM to 11:30 PM Guaranteed Hours: 40/ Week Pay Rate: $46/ Hour on W2 (LOCAL)

Description/ Comment:

1. Must be graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college or university; BSN preferred
2. Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required.
3. Minimum of three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience is preferred.
4. Minimum of two years of clinical experience in long-term care is preferred.
5. One year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred.
6. Lead, guide and direct the overall operations, coordination and direction of nursing and patient/resident care for assigned nursing unit.
7. Ensure that patient/resident care delivery is consistent with the mission, vision, values and policies of Genesis HealthCare and in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements.
8. Collaborate with staff, physicians, rehabilitation therapy and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients on assigned nursing unit.
9. Manage the human resources in assigned unit to include limiting use of overtime and agency personnel, recruiting and orientating staff, assessing the work performance of nursing staff, and implementing disciplinary action when necessary.
