ARE YOU THIS PERSON? The Marketing & Operations Assistant needs to be a highly organized, overwhelmingly astute contributor who strives at continuously keeping things moving forward day-in, day-out. This role will be a great fit iIf you are passionate about the intersection of food & fashion. The ideal candidate will be a natural first adapter to changing social trends and have an eye for retail and product design. This person should show influence, possess strong communication skills, and be a planning guru. As you develop a keen understanding of our brand, you must be able to take direct feedback with grace and use your course corrections to challenge yourself to be better than you were yesterday.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Marketing & Operations Assistant will be a crucial position to help our COO enact high-velocity, non-traditional brand engagement moments with our devoted customer base. All activities will be under the direction and coordination with our COO.
Own all logistics from start to finish; including pre-event planning, vendor management, collaboration across internal teams, external communication, travel/parking, AV production, entertainment, assist with all day-of event activities, and post-event wrap up.
Drive all event marketing needs from start to finish; including ideation, ordering & printing marketing collateral, budget management, delivering & set up, scheduling press & interviews, and other activities as they arise.
Ensure consistent, on-brand messaging, aesthetics, and collaborations at any and all events.
Identify and recommend new local, regional, and national event opportunities. As you grow into the position, develop and execute new event ideas that push the envelope (and people’s buttons).
Oversee all social media channels and platforms with responsibilities including calendaring, content coordination, internal/external planning & communication, engagement, metric tracking, keeping information up to date, and more.
Support the development of and implementation marketing campaigns, in-store promotions and new merchandising. Includes ensuring brand cohesion, placing & overseeing product/printing order, collateral assembly, delivery, organizing/updating key internal documents and more.
Oversee and direct all communications in regards to marketing.
Support internal staff on new promotions and merchandising. Includes information gathering, meeting facilitation, product guides, calendaring, emails, cross-department coordination, and more.
Schedule and prepare meetings with vendors and collaboration partners.
Schedule and support local and national interviews from press and corporate partners.
Implement external communication from start to finish - monthly newsletter, promotional emails, and other missives as needed.
Be Third Culture Bakery’s brand ambassador at all times; at events, with staff, with vendors, with customers, and with management. Embody our ethos and spirit.
Complete any and all tasks that assist C-level management complete their responsibilities most efficiently.
General administration needs to support the company and your position as they arise.
As needed, assist in retail stores with barista responsibilities.

Graphic design skills or designing capabilities are a plus; This also can mean a natural eye for color, space composition, photography, and fashion.
3 years minimum of work experience in a position or industry that correlates with the requirements of this position. Food or barista experience at some point in your career a plus.

HOURS & COMPENSATION:
40 hours/week with weekend availability. Nights and travel for events and engagements as needed. Position starts at $20/hour with tip pool ($5 - $7/hour). As one masters the position, promotions and raises following 6 month and annual reviews.
