Position Summary:
River City Believers Academy is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Third Grade Teacher to join our Christ-centered learning community. This role requires a teacher who not only demonstrates excellence in academic instruction, but also models a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ in and out of the classroom. Our ideal candidate has a heart for children, a passion for biblical integration in all subjects, and a commitment to cultivating both the mind and spirit of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a nurturing, engaging, and structured classroom environment grounded in biblical truth and academic excellence.
- Teach core subjects (reading, writing, math, science, and social studies) using developmentally appropriate methods and differentiated instruction.
- Integrate Scripture and a Christian worldview into daily lessons and classroom culture.
- Maintain open and consistent communication with parents, keeping them informed of student progress and classroom activities.
- Foster strong, Christ-honoring relationships with students, families, and staff.
- Plan and implement hands-on activities, projects, and classroom routines that support a love of learning.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty and administration to support school-wide goals and spiritual development initiatives.
- Participate in professional development and school events as needed.
Qualifications:
- A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- A clear calling and passion for Christian education.
- Bachelor’s degree in education (or related field) from an accredited college or university.
- Valid teaching certification or willingness to pursue certification.
- Classroom teaching experience preferred, especially in lower elementary grades.
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to uphold the mission, vision, and core values of River City Believers Academy.
