We are seeking an experienced and energetic Mentor Teacher to join our team at Ivywood Academy! You will be responsible for working alongside other ECE teachers to support their development in delivering quality, age-appropriate curriculum to children ages 6 weeks- 12 years old. You will work in the classroom to coach, model, and support based on the instructional need. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. Responsibilities:

Review and provide feedback on weekly lesson plans submitted by teachers in each ECE program including aftercare programming

Coach, model, and support ECE teachers in improving their instructional practices in the classroom

Provide professional development and keep track of required yearly training hours for staff

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education

Previous experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider

Strong understanding of child development

Patient, kind, and nurturing

Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

Leadership skills in working with adult learners

Coaching and modeling experience in the classroom

Team player

First aid/CPR certified
