Better together than apart. This position is on-site, The Law Offices of Thomas Kerns McKnight, LLP is seeking an organized, outgoing, and hard-working Data Entry Specialist to join our team.

Ideal candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. They present the following qualities: Organized, accurate, dependable, multitasker, team-oriented, strong customer service, mathematically and analytically minded, and understands the fine details of business transactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process, document, and log payments by various payment methods: mail, phone, online, excel
• Handle all functions related to the posting, reversing, correction, recording and reporting of payments
• Compute and record numerical data
• Check the accuracy of business transactions
• Comply with data integrity and security policies
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in accounting, finance, administration, customer service
• Fundamental knowledge of FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
• Strong computer skills to accomplish tasks
• Attentive to record keeping, documentation of work performed and required clerical tasks
• Experience using MS Excel / Pivot Table experience highly preferred
• Experience with payment processing
• Knowledge of Credit Soft software, highly preferred

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

STARTING:

$15 Hour

McKnight is also a member of the bars of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Columbia, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for both the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Maryland, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business from Miami University (1970) and his Juris Doctor from Ohio State University (1972), where he was an Articles Editor for The Ohio State Law Journal. From 1963 to 1966, he was a U.S. Marine.
