    Thompson Consulting Services is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates interested in wildfire relief work within Santa Cruz County. We are seeking 40-hour certified OSHA HAZWOPER contract employees to conduct data collection related to the cleanup of wildfire debris in impacted areas. 

    As a Data Collector/Crew Leader you will be responsible for performing site assessments and documenting debris collection and disposal activity performed in the field.  This is a temporary position; no manual labor and training may be provided.

    Duties:

    ·      Inspections of properties damaged by the wildfires

    ·      Must have a flexible schedule with the availability to work up to 12 hours a day and seven days a week; may be required to work some days in excess of 12 hours

    ·      Ability to manage multiple locations and balance team member expertise in each area to effectively manage teams in each area

    ·      Develop and implement all necessary safety protocols, processes and policies

    ·      Review incoming reports to identify possible discrepancies and missing

    data/documents

    ·      Coordinate and work cooperatively with coworkers and other companies

    Qualifications:

    ·     

    ·      40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certification

    ·      Must be at least 18 years of age

    ·      Must be able to read, write and speak in English

    ·      Must have high school diploma, GED, or equivalent

    ·      Must have the ability to work in the outside elements for long periods of time (this may include standing outside for the duration of day)

    ·      Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving history

    ·      Must have your own working vehicle and cell phone

    ·      Provide proof of citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
