CPA/Senior accountant is needed to fill a permanent position with a multi office CPA firm. Great work environment with advancement opportunity as the firm continues to grow. Individual will be responsible for the preparation of federal and state tax returns, service monthly write-up accounts, preparation of audited, reviewed and compiled financial statements.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills as the candidate must be able to interface consistently with clients. Candidate must be able to analyze, document, compile, simplify and communicate data to small business owners. Must be a self-starter, organized, motivated and be able plan multiple work assignments.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare income tax returns from clients' accounting records.
• Prepare year-end financial statements (GAAP or tax basis).
• Prepare payrolls, payroll tax returns, sales tax returns.
• Review GL account reconciliations prepared by bookkeeping staff.
• Review/pay accounts payable prepared by bookkeeping staff.
• Assistant in financial and compliance audits.

Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant or candidate.
• Individual, corporate, partnership and nonprofit tax preparation.
• Complex, multi-state payroll tax report preparation.
• Experience with QuickBooks.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications.

Aggressive salary starting range is $75,000 and can rise significantly based on experience. Year-end bonus is based on production, benefits including health insurance and 401k with company match.
