    Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Industrial Electrician for a local client in Clinton, NC. Candidates who have a background working as an Electrician in an industrial setting are encouraged to apply.

    Summary:

    Safely and efficiently maintain machines and equipment, adhering to all company polices and area procedures as described in the company’s QMS. To produce quality material that meets all of the specification called out in the work order while meeting or exceeding the schedule supplied.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics and be able to apply.
    • Must be able to wire and understand various motors, starters, contacts, ranging from AC to DC power sources.
    • Must be able to troubleshoot, disassemble, repair and reassemble machines and equipment.
    • Routinely, performs complex electrical assignments.
    • Repairs, maintains, and replaces worn or damaged parts.
    • Installs and tests systems or repairs to machines and equipment before turning over to operators or production.
    • Analyzes equipment failures, determines root cause and makes necessary adjustments or repairs to facilities’ equipment.
    • Inspects equipment and diagnoses troubles or malfunctions and makes necessary adjustments or repairs to facilities equipment.
    • Applies advanced working knowledge and experience to independently improve maintenance techniques.
    • Able to take direct or indirect direction of skilled maintenance employees or managers, but not limited to clearly written instructions in form of either hard copy or electronic format to perform specific tasks related to assisting skilled maintenance crafts.
    • Uses and understands a variety of hand and power tools required to carry out daily tasks.
    • Able to understand and use proper measuring and leveling devices for equipment or machine repairs to facilities equipment.
    • Follows established safety practices and requirements while performing all duties.
    • Maintains logs and other required records of equipment services.
    • Performs other basic duties as assigned within his or her skill level.
    • Performs daily preventive maintenance.
    • Disassembles equipment for maintenance or repair and replace worn equipment components.
    • Responsible for safety and environmental issues regarding assigned area, i.e. material handling, crane use, cutting torch, hot parts, lifting weight limits, proper eye protection.
    • Lifts, pulls, pushes, pries and drags heavy materials into position during the shift.
    • Reports down time, inconsistencies, failures & safety topics using designated forms.
    • Responsible for maintaining the area of responsibility clean and organized.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • · Must have a high school diploma and/or GED
    • · Must have a minimum of one (3) years’ experience in a manufacturing setting
