    Job Description

    A major home accents and decor products importer has an immediate opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant. Company offers excellent benefits and compensation.

    Duties would include:

    · Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices. Track offers and counter offers

    · Maintain updated records of purchase orders and line items

    · Research new vendors, tracking deliveries and updating order records

    · Track and finalize purchase orders and ensure timely delivery. Update internal databases with order details

    · Create and update vendor files

     

    Requirements:

    · Must be computer literate with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    · Capable of establishing priorities and ability to multi-task

    · Work independently while having strong teamwork skills

    · Must have strong planning, organization, and analytical skills

    · Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team skills

    · Experience with Navision software would be a plus
