    The SOLUTION ENGINEER – HOMELAND SECURITY, TREASURY & JUSTICE (SSE, DHS/Treasury/Justice) effectively builds a level of technical trust and a relationship with the client’s technical team. Be able to assist the sales team in developing and closing business within targeted accounts. Be able to present value added solutions and has the ability to architect large complex solutions using their skills and those of our key OEM partners. This process includes selling products and services to current and prospective clients, introducing new clients to Three Wire Systems products and solutions that match their business needs. Develop, coordinate, and manage all technical pre-sales activity for targeted accounts, including product demonstration, technical presentation, design, and RFI/RFP response.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Deliver technical presentations
    • Conduct Client meetings with sales team
    • Independently and collectively engage customers
    • Support technical writing for proposals when needed
    • Complete the necessary engineering certifications with our core OEM partners (ie. CISCO, Dell-EMC, VMWare, F5, Red Hat, etc…)
    • Work within a team that consists of Sales and Program Management teams within your corresponding territories
    • Attend staff meetings on weekly basis and participate in vendor training sessions
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Solid understanding of solution selling and complex sales cycles. Applying technology to solving business problems
    • Basic understanding of the proposal process, including RFP shred, building a compliance matrix, writing a compliant proposal, and ability to lead or participate in color teams as appropriate (i.e.: Red Team, Green Team, etc.)
    • Ability to communicate in writing with a strong ability to self-proofread and self-edit.
    • Strong background in networking (L1-L7) and Networked Storage (SAN/NAS) preferred
    • Understanding of Network Security (Firewall, IDS/IPS, WAF, etc) preferred
    • Virtualization (VMWare, NSX, Zen, Citrix, etc..) experience is preferred
    • Experience with Linux, Unix, and/or Windows Operating Systems preferred
    • Experience with or understanding of Distributed and Cloud platforms preferred
    • Ideal candidate has a recent proven track record of winning new business within the Federal community, specifically with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Treasury and Justice is preferred
    • Experience and Certifications with CISCO are HIGHLY desired. CCNP, CCDA, CCNA and higher are preferred.

     

    Minimum Education/Training Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred

    Minimum Experience: 5-10 years of experience in sales, within the public-sector space, specifically with a focus on the identified accounts.

    Work Environment: Typical Professional Office Environment. Travel up to 75% of year is expected
