InJoy Thrift Store Ministry Manager
Lead with Purpose. Manage with Impact. Serve with Joy.

We are seeking a passionate, experienced Thrift Store Ministry Manager to lead daily operations and inspire staff, volunteers, donors, and customers.
This is more than a retail management role—it’s an opportunity to combine professional leadership with eternal impact.
About the Role
The InJoy Thrift Store Ministry Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, ensuring a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment where volunteers and staff feel valued and customers love to shop. You will lead production, sales, donations, volunteers, logistics, finances, and marketing while advancing InJoy’s Christian mission.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and lead staff and key team leads (Sales, Production, Donations, Volunteers)
Build a positive, high‑energy team culture through regular meetings, coaching, and collaboration
Oversee daily retail operations, merchandising, displays, pricing, and inventory flow
Coordinate donation intake, home pickups, deliveries, bulk sales, and salvage operations
Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks; monitor production vs. sales performance
Develop staff schedules, manage payroll, and ensure full coverage of all store areas
Implement safety, security, and loss‑prevention systems
Lead and execute creative marketing and community outreach efforts (social media, local advertising, partnerships)
Share impact stories and develop “viral” storytelling that highlights how InJoy supports Christian ministries
What We’re Looking For
A strong commitment to InJoy’s Christian mission and values
Proven experience in retail or operations management
A natural leader, motivator, and encourager of staff and volunteers
Excellent communication, organizational, and people‑management skills
Solid understanding of retail marketing, merchandising, and customer service
Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, Word, and Google
A collaborative, ethical, hands‑on leadership style with a “get it done” mindset
