Job Description
Thrilling | full stack/frontend engineers | full-time
LA, NY, SF or US REMOTE | https://shopthrilling.com
Thrilling is the first dedicated e-commerce marketplace for secondhand apparel stores. We currently have 150+ stores on our platform across 30 cities, and are rapidly expanding. Over the last six months, our store count has grown 3x and revenue 10x. We are preparing to raise Series A funding in 2021.
Thrillings mission is twofold: we want to support small, local stores, while improving sustainability and reducing the carbon imprint of the apparel industry. Our two-sided marketplace acts as a delightful shopping experience for users, while helping our store partners grow their businesses. Majority of our store partners are women and/or POC; as a company with a black, female founder and CEO, we are especially passionate about helping these small business owners thrive.
Internally, we are creating a culture where we enjoy showing up to work everyday. Our team values kindness, dedication, open-mindedness, and authenticity. We want creative people with a strong work ethic who believe in diversity. At Thrilling, you will have a lot of freedom to truly shape your role and areas of ownership. Our benefits include great health insurance, unlimited vacation days, and meaningful equity.
THE JOB
Our ideal teammate is committed to delivering a high quality experience to our users, while maintaining a healthy codebase. Because vintage stores stock only unique products (read: SKUs of 1), the technical complexity as we scale inventory is significant. We are building a groundbreaking app to manage products, enhancing our e-commerce site to meet rapid growth, and building out a rich service layer.
Our next engineer will help fuel our progress across these areas and will also lay the groundwork for how our technical team will operate and scale. As our second developer, your work will have a massive impact on our growth and success. You have an essential role to play in building not only our product, but also our company and its culture.
Some of the tools we currently use include: Angular, TypeScript, Ionic, Firebase, Google Cloud, GraphQL, Heroku, and Imgix. You should be comfortable using JIRA and git/Github workflows.
