Company in government contracting in aerospace and engineering is seeking an experienced government accounting manager to help set up their CAS (Cost Accounting Standards)

This is a perm role, and would also consider an experienced contractor/1099 to set up their CAS.

Job Duties:

• Incorporate government contracting requirements into business processes at a manufacturing site
• Ensure financial reporting, disclosure and government contract accounting are in compliance 
• Ensure business processes and financial processes are compliant with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)
• Act as primary contact with DCAA for audits and system reviews
• Serves as integral member of leadership team

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent), MBA or CPA is a plus
• Must have experience with CAS (ideally implementing CAS) and DCAA Audits
• Significant accounting experience in government contract accounting; aerospace or engineering is a plus
