Youth Shelter Weekend Residential Advisor
Join the Thrive Youth Center case management team to support LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness! As a Weekend Residential Advisor in our Emergency Shelter, you will have the incredible opportunity to foster relationships with youth experiencing homelessness, connect youth with critical resources, and advance our mission of ending youth homelessness. Part of your role will include assigning administrative duties, such as documentation to meet grant requirements, front desk management, and office housekeeping. You may occasionally support functions of other units within the organization as needed. The schedule for this position is 8 AM - 5 PM, Saturday - Sunday, with additional optional on-call hours available.
Youth Engagement: 45-55% Apply principles of authentic youth collaboration to engage LGBTQ+ youth and young adults ages 18-24 experiencing homelessness with emergency shelter intervention.
Administrative responsibilities: 25-35%
Answer phone calls, transfer calls appropriately, and respond to emails Manage documentation requirements utilizing a centralized database by creating case notes and documenting incidents during shift
Office housekeeping or extended organization support: 5-10%
This position contributes to the daily upkeep of the Thrive Youth Center office space. Extended Thrive assignments will be on rare occasions and upon manager approval. Ensure office cleanliness in general office spaces using a guided checklist dailyAssist other Thrive units with activities, as needed and assigned

Credentials
Associates degree
Must have a passion for youth experiencing homelessness
II.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
4-year degree
3-5 years of experience with programming designed for youth and young adults
Undergraduate or graduate degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or public health
Prior training in trauma-informed care and evidence-based models for youth engagement
Knowledge and understanding of the local homelessness response system and HMIS
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires in-person work at the Haven for Hope campus emergency shelter
Must be able to work effectively with team members
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds on occasion.
This work setting will require you to perform regular duties both indoors and outdoors
Expected to consistently represent Thrive Youth Center with integrity
