The Maintenance Mechanics will need to have basic understanding of both mechanical and electrical industrial manufacturing maintenance.

Essential Functions - Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
- Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
- Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
- Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Provides data for maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Work Experience - Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing and code books
- Basic mechanical, welding and cutting skills
- Should be capable of reading mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints
- Good problem-solving skills, safety practices and attention to quality
- Have basic workbench and computer skills
- Basic knowledge of relay logic, AC/DC motor drives, PLC & SLC and motor control circuits
- Intermediate knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing, and code books
- Repair knowledge of pumps, compressors, gear boxes and blowers
Physical Demands and Work Environment - Extensive mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Frequently required standing, walking and reaching with hands and arms
- Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
- Ability to use hand tools
- Ability to read applicable instructions
- The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts
