ACCOUNTANT
JOB SUMMARY:
The Accountant is responsible for performing various functions; including but not limited to bank reconciling, general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Posts and processes journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
· Assists in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
· Maintains general ledger accounts
· Performs ratio analysis and monthly transactions coding, and maintains required business documents
· Oversees bank reconciliations
· Corrects accounting errors and posts journal entry adjustments
· Processes wire transfers
· Provides back-up to other accounting personnel as required
· Assist with other accounting projects
· Perform other duties and projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
· 5+ years’ experience in Accounting
· QuickBooks
· Proficiency in MS Office Suite
· Advanced Excel Skills
· Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
· Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
· Perform accurate work to the highest standards of accountancy
· Able to complete work to deadlines with little direct supervision
· Driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
· Strong critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills
· Ability to work independently or as a team member
· Excellent organizational skills
· Great attention to detail
· Good understanding of general accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
