    Our law firm has a full-time associate attorney position available now, and we’re looking for the right professional to join our team. You will have the opportunity to learn from senior associates and litigation associates on legal issues and will provide legal counsel to existing clients. You’ll also perform legal research, draft documents, and keep client files current. Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for important work, including: • Performing Client Needs Assessments • Directly communicating with clients • Preparing for and attending court hearings and trials • Drafting all manner of pleadings • Communicating with opposing counsel and court professionals • Drafting correspondence • Working closely with support staff to ensure effectiveness and client satisfaction • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings • Collaborate with clients, senior associates, and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients Qualifications: • Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA) • Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam Top 6 Core Competencies/Characteristics to be successful in the Position: • Comfortable with a billable hour requirement • Confident • Strategic • Good at Priority Management • Detail Oriented If the following statements appeal to you, then you may be our associate: • You love using your skills to help people find freedom from situations that no longer serve them • You prefer to be reasonable but will fight when necessary • You love to go to court and enjoy the process of litigation • Your communication skills are stellar • You value integrity, effectiveness, kindness, communication and money • You enjoy a collaborative office environment where each Team member is valued and encouraged to contribute • You are flexible and comfortable with change Compensation: $70,000 - $100,000 yearly
