We are searching for a Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for a broad range of HR functions including but not limited to processing bi-weekly and semi-monthly multi state payroll, full-cycle recruiting, training, safety, compliance, maintaining HRIS, assisting with benefit administration. The position is responsible for staying abreast of and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and Company policies and procedures, as well as making recommendations regarding best practices.
Essential Job Functions:
Process multi-state biweekly and semimonthly payroll.
Conduct full-cycle recruiting to include reviewing resumes, pre-screen candidates to assess qualifications, recommend candidates to hiring managers, coordinates interviews with hiring managers.
Ensures annual required trainings are delivered and completed timely.
Ensure employee bulletin boards in specific areas are up to date with all labor law postings, current announcements, etc.
Responsible the ongoing HRIS processes and implementation of updated functions.
Assist with administration of benefit programs and billing reconciliation for health insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) retirement plan, worker’s compensation and other plans.
Assist with department audits.
Verify entry of new hires in HRIS.
Assist with open enrollment.
Assist with company wellness program and initiatives.
Prepares annual OSHA reports (i.e., OSHA Form 300 log).
Maintains Emergency Action Plan.
Continually maintain awareness of HR trends, and federal and state laws.
Respond to employment verifications and other similar requests.
Filing, organizing and maintaining HR files.
Assist with coordinating Event Planning of Company-wide HR events.
Position Requirements:
MUST HAVE 2+ years multi-state payroll experience
Experience handling payroll for 200+ employees
Full cycle recruiting experience; technology/software development a plus
A minimum of 3 years progressive HR experience
Knowledge of California and Federal laws related to Payroll and Human Resources is required
Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to prioritize/multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Must be organized, flexible, able to multi-task, willing to take initiative, and team focused but able to work independently
ExponentHR and iCIMS experience a plus
