    PROMERICA HEALTH is seeking 2 TRAINED AND LICENSED (CPT 1 OR 2 IN CA) BIOMETRIC HEALTH SCREENER for a biometric screening event in Merced, CA on May 4th.

    Pay: $300 for the day - 8 hours expected

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position provides biometric health screenings for our client’s awareness to the general population and specific Health Fairs and designated public locations. This is a mobile health screening opportunity to help promote wellness, participant must be willing to travel for days, weeks and upwards of months. The individual must be conscientious, energetic, and friendly, with a passion for wellness. This person must be willing to travel extensively with the rest of the tour team. The biometric screener must provide high quality, clinically compliant services to our participants.

     

    SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES (BEHAVIORS):

    • Trained and licensed to administer finger stick in CA (CPT 1 or 2).
    • Ability to perform point of care testing, with each of the analyzers used, utilizing fingerstick technique – Glucose testing only on Cholestech LDX Analyzer
    • Ability to measure blood pressure (BP) utilizing an automatic blood pressure cuff, as well as utilizing a stethoscope and manual cuff when necessary.
    • Ability to measure height, weight, and BMI.
    • Must be willing to undergo certification and competency training on each of the analyzers used.
    • Ability to perform all screening activities in a clinically compliant manner following all policies & procedures (including, but not limited to, state/federal laws, OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA)
    • Ability to provide participant results in a friendly and knowledgeable manner. Ability to speak about clients educational materials provided.
    • Ability to adjust communication style for a wide variety of participants.
    • Must be punctual.
    • Ability to work and travel as part of a team.
    • Ability to operate a passenger vehicle in accordance of all local and federal laws.
    • Ability to pass a background check, including driving record.
    • Must follow all policies, procedures, and instructions in the program’s training manual and clinical standard operation procedure manual.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • CA CPT 1 or 2
    • Previous experience and knowledge in health screening events
    • Previous health screening background strongly preferred
    • Proficiency in English is required
    • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
    • National Phlebotomy certification is a plus

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    Screenings would take place at several client locations throughout CA. The screenings are all via a portable set up on a mobile bus.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • The position requires frequent walking, standing and sitting, bending, talking, listening, reaching above shoulder level, reaching below waist, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
    • Ability to lift, drag, or carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to walk up to 1 mile per day.
    • Set up and break down of portable health screening station.
