Job Description:

Sets up and operates machine to bend metal structural shapes, such as bars, rods, angles, pipes, and tubes, to angle or contour specified by work order, drawings, templates, or layout.

Efficient operation of the rebar equipment, challenging the capabilities of the machine and maximizing the utilization of rebar in the most cost effective way. Operate equipment to produce fabricated rebar within tolerance. Track piece counts and log discrepancies.

Maintain machines by performing preventative maintenance on fabrication equipment and protective coating systems in place, as needed. Maintain equipment log for all defects in equipment.

Ensure a safe and productive work environment through actively participating in safety meetings, team meetings, and actively looking after your co-workers.

Communicate - train and work with co-workers to maximize their knowledge in the production process and coating quality techniques.

Assist other machine operators to increase their skillset with a focus on Safety, Efficiency and Quality.
