Job Description
Tier 2 IT Support Specialist
We’re looking for a strong Tier 2 technician who enjoys digging into problems and figuring out how things actually work. This is an in-office role for someone who likes being around other engineers, collaborating on tricky issues, and learning from teammates. If you enjoy solving problems, sharing knowledge, and continuing to level up technically, this is a great place to do it.
You’ll handle support tickets that require deeper troubleshooting than basic help desk requests, working directly with users while also collaborating with other engineers when things get more complex. Over time, there’s plenty of opportunity to grow into more advanced engineering work and senior-level responsibilities.
What you’ll be doing
Take ownership of escalated support tickets that require deeper troubleshooting
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues on Windows and macOS devices
Support Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint issues
Troubleshoot printers, peripherals, and endpoint security tools
Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory or Entra ID
Help resolve MFA, SSO, and login issues
Troubleshoot VPN access, Wi-Fi connectivity, and other common networking problems
Work with network engineers or vendors when issues involve firewalls, switches, or service providers
Assist with device setup, provisioning, and patch troubleshooting
Work with endpoint management tools such as Intune, Jamf, or other remote management platforms
Document solutions so the whole team benefits from what’s learned
What we’re looking for
Around 2–5 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or an MSP environment
Strong troubleshooting skills and a genuine curiosity about how systems work
Comfortable working within a ticketing system and managing multiple issues at once
Experience supporting Windows and macOS systems
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and common user issues
Basic knowledge of Active Directory or Entra ID user and group management
Understanding of networking fundamentals like DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, and Wi-Fi
Nice to have
Experience with Intune, Autopilot, Jamf, SCCM, or similar endpoint management tools
Basic PowerShell or scripting experience
Familiarity with endpoint security tools and disk encryption technologies
Work environment
This is an in-office position where engineers work closely together. The team regularly collaborates on technical issues, shares ideas, and helps each other grow. You should be comfortable handling occasional hardware setup and moving standard IT equipment when needed.
Growth opportunity
This role is a great stepping stone toward more advanced engineering work. As you gain experience and demonstrate your skills, there will be opportunities to take on more complex projects and progress into senior-level engineering roles.
If you enjoy working alongside other smart technicians, solving interesting technical problems, and continuing to grow your career, we’d love to hear from you.
Qualifications
MSP Experience (not government contracting) required.
