    This position is for Tigers Contract Logistics parent company JAS Forwarding (USA). 

    JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

    The Foreign Trade Zone Specialist position is responsible for all aspects of foreign trade zone operations and compliance of applicable business rules, regulations etc. related to the JAS Forwarding USA Inc. FTZ operations.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

    • Follow all JAS Forwarding USA Inc. processes and policies related to FTZ operations and compliance.

    • Local owner of all FTZ processes and compliance.

    • Responsible for ensuring warehouse WMS data integrity to support efficient reporting of FTZ annual data to the FTZ board.

    • Responsible for e214 admissions, warehouse receipts, warehouse orders out (consumption entries, IT, IE, T&E).

    • Responsible for management of periodic cycle counts and annual inventory.

    • Responsible to reconcile inventory discrepancies and document actions to correct.

    • Responsible for management of quarterly Harbor Maintenance Fee payment requests.

    • Utilizes understanding of the proper processes to resolve problems according to industry standards.

    • Reviews processes and recommends implementation of new procedures.

    • Maintains positive customer relations.

    • Other duties as required and assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience in international freight forwarding and good working knowledge of Incoterms, Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs regulations, and other relevant government requirements/regulations with focus on foreign trade zone operations.
    • Requires proficiency with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
    • High School Diploma or GED required.
