  • Responsibilities

    We are offering positions on various shifts for machine operators at the Timken Aurora Bearing facility.

    We provide on-the-job training and opportunities for growth.

    Compensation is based on experience and starts at $18.50-19/hr

    + $1.50 for the second shift

    Operators for the Production Process (Assembly, Grinder, Lathe, Mill)

    • Manage and adjust production machinery, such as presses, laser markers, ink jets, electro etch, fit, ovens, swage, bore grinders, drills, mills, and roll threads.

    • Inspect parts visually and physically for fit, center, stake, stamp, and proper marking, following print specifications. Utilize gauging tools, including

    micrometers and calipers.

    • Based on experience, may require setting up machines according to machine parameters.

    Run initial parts as necessary and make necessary adjustments to meet quality standards outlined in print specifications. Complete required paperwork for setup approval.

    • Load parts as instructed, operate equipment, and inspect parts at designated intervals, making necessary adjustments.

    • Maintain machine operation, including checking fluid levels.

    Minimum Requirements

    • High School Diploma or GED

    • Ability to comprehend and interpret blueprints

    • Prior experience in manufacturing and machine operation preferred

    • Experience with gauges and micrometers is advantageous

    • First shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm; Second shift: 3:30pm - 12:00am.
