    Job Description

    Timmons Group is currently seeking an Electric GIS Analyst II to join our team working remotely. The Electric GIS Analyst is responsible for performing a wide variety of production tasks for the Geospatial Utilities group projects and data management. They will assist and support meeting project deliverable requirements and deadlines.

    The ideal candidate will be inspired by data analysis to gain insight and innovation and have a knack for understanding geospatial transportation data.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

    • Use various GIS software (ESRI ArcGIS), as well as various geographic data formats and standard data conversion and transformation methods, for geographic analysis.
    • Update Geospatial data on an as-needed basis.
    • Creating maps, reports, and presentations in support of various GIS and technology projects
    • Working cooperatively with Project Managers and peers to complete assigned work.
    • Proactively seeks input and clarification from other employees assigned to given projects to minimize time spent in performing the essential duties of the position
    • Troubleshoot problems associated with existing GIS applications, tools, and data.
    • Provide process-oriented approach to project work.
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Skills/Requirements of **** a successful candidate should have the following but not limited to:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college in GIS, Surveying, Engineering, Geography, Information Systems, or related degree, and at least three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ideal candidates will have at least two years of related work experience
    • Experience with Esri Utility Networks in the electric industry preferred
    • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Software (Desktop and Extensions, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server)
    • Experience with ArcFM is a plus
    • Technical expertise obtaining, manipulating, and organizing data as well as defining, planning, and implementing analysis and processes
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of team with excellent time management skills to ensure deadlines are met
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
