Job Description

We are currently seeking a PROJECT ENGINEER I to join our RICHMOND, VA office location in our STRUCTURE & BRIDGE DESIGN team in our RICHMOND, VA office location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

• Design portions of structure and bridge design projects using relevant office software, modeling and Civil 3D technology
• Conduct load ratings and other calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems
• Assist with the development of scope, schedule and budgets for projects
• Assist with the management of projects and tasks
• Assist with marketing and proposal development
• Complete field observation, inspection and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff
• Communicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff

Qualifications

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or closely related degree is required
• Ideal candidates would have coursework and/or internship experience related to structure and bridge design
• Entry level to two years of experience is desired for this role
• EIT preferred
• Working knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD for plan development
• Must be legally eligible to work in the Unites States without sponsorship now and in the future
