    Job Description

    We are currently seeking an experienced HUMAN RESOURCES RECRUITER to join our RICHMOND, VA office.  This person will help streamline our current recruiting operations and allow our current team to provide even better recruiting support to our company stakeholders while we continue to grow.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

    • Communicate with hiring managers in multiple offices and time zones to thoroughly understand their hiring needs and to develop a recruiting strategy to source both active and passive candidates
    • Update ATS and various job posting sites as positions are opened and closed
    • Utilize social media to consistently promote job opportunities and Timmons Group culture
    • Pre-screen incoming applications to determine if applicant meets the minimum qualifications of the position for which they applied (or possibly other positions within the company) and forward only qualified candidates for initial review to the appropriate hiring manager
    • Use influencing skills to encourage hiring managers to provide a response on each candidate and to move the hiring process along in a timely manner
    • Respond to hiring manager requests for interview by contacting candidate, completing initial phone screen and if appropriate, work to schedule candidate for interview at earliest possible time
    • Demonstrate unrivaled customer service to all firm’s leadership, candidates and vendors
    • Manage and monitor applicant and interview process by following up and following through at each step with both candidate and hiring manager
    • Work toward the goal of not only hiring the best candidate for each position in a timely manner, but also ensuring a great experience for each candidate regardless of the ultimate hiring decision
    • Consistently works to think of new ways to improve existing processes and breathe new life into recruiting practices with the goal of attracting the best candidates for Timmons Group
    • Some travel may be required for satellite office visits, career fairs etc.
    • Perform other human resources generalist tasks and other duties as needed

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

    • Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of recruitment experience in a corporate or staffing firm environment
    • Experience in recruiting for engineering or technical roles is highly desired
    • Demonstrated ability to source passive candidates
    • Excellent sales, negotiation, coaching and counseling skills are a must
    • Demonstrated ability to influence others and drive results in a fast-paced environment is a must
    • Experience in conducting behavioral interviews and knowing what is/is not appropriate to ask or discuss with candidates
    • Familiarity with OFCCP and Affirmative Action Plans and recruitment tracking and reporting is highly desired
    • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems and think outside the box
    • Excellent presentation, written communication, planning and organization skills
    • Serves as a Champion of the firm’s mission and values
    • Knowledge and successful application of Microsoft office applications
