Job Description

Timmons Group is seeking a **Civil Designer - Water & Wastewater **candidate **** for our Water & Wastewater Group located in our Richmond, VA __ office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• As an individual contributor, uses professional judgment to direct and independently complete assigned engineering designs and construction documents.
• Actively assists the Project Manager and assigns tasks and schedules to Project Engineers and project team members, answers questions and monitors progress.
• Checks the accuracy (formal and informal QA/QC) of assigned tasks completed by other engineering and technical staff.
• Makes major design decisions that meet the needs of external customers while coordinating the impact of such decisions on related project efforts.

Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

• At least three years of design/engineering experience in municipal infrastructure is required.
• Intermediate to advanced ability to use AutoCAD Civil 3D software is required.
• Ability to use other engineering automation tools (Revit, BIM 360) is preferred.
• Must possess strong technical verbal and technical writing skills and be able to read technical literature and engineering plans.
• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to apply professional knowledge to the solution of both routine and non-routine tasks and engineering activities.
• Must demonstrate two-way communication to effectively work with internal staff.
