    Quality Manager-Commercial Construction

    Our leading commercial construction contractor has asked for help in filling their open Quality Manager role.

    The Quality Manager will plan, coordinate and direct the quality assurance program to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications. In this role you will be the resource to the project team in areas of project delivery, constructability, workflow, building technology, sequencing, and proper installation techniques. You will develop standards and procedures to the project team and its members.

    Duties and Responsibilities-Quality Manager

    • Develop understanding/working knowledge of company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work.
    • Supervise subcontractors, project and material inspections to ensure proper workmanship, as well as code/specification compliance.
    • Provide administrative and technical direction to all quality control personnel - includes personnel administration, resolution of technical problems, development/approval of in-house training, etc.
    • Supervise maintenance of work performance records, inspection records and other related items; ensure correctness of all documents.
    • Review subcontractor’s submittals, schedules meetings, as required, with subcontractors, owners, etc.
    • Act as liaison with owner, regulatory agencies, subcontractors and/or internal departments on quality related matters as required.
    • Assist in coordinating quality control inspection schedules with other department schedules.
    • Initiate and ensure adequate corrective measures are implemented in cases of noncompliance.
    • Review design documents for contract compliance.
    • Exercise initiative or as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.

    Education-Quality Manager

    • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university or equivalent experience.
    • At least 5 years in a Construction Management, Construction Technology, Design, or Construction Testing.
    • Background and understanding of Construction Documents and Submittals
