_ About the Tissue Recovery Technician_
The Tissue Recovery Technician is responsible for assisting and conducting DNAs mission to maximize donation. They shall be available to assist with donor activity. Performs tissue recovery procedures according to protocol and policy, as well as maintaining a clean, safe operating room environment.
All responsibilities should be performed within the scope of the Food and Drug Administration guidelines, Eye Bank Association of American Medical Standards, American Association of Tissue Bank guidelines, and Donor Network of Arizona’s departmental standard operating procedures.
The following responsibilities show the four potential skill sets that are attainable in the Tissue Recovery Technician role:
Performs other duties as requested by the leadership team. Maintains an environment that supports professionalism, teamwork, effective communication and displays DNA’s core values daily.
Scheduling: Must be flexible and available to work 4, 10-hour shifts either day shifts or night shifts to include weekends and holidays.
_ Requirements_
Minimum Education:
H.S. Diploma
Minimum Experience:
Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills.
Ability to lift 50-75lbs.
Preferred experience: At least 6 months surgical technology. Knowledge of biological sciences. 1- 2 years tissue recovery.
