TPC Louisiana is a par-72, 7,399-yard championship course open to the public located in Avondale, Louisiana. TPC Louisiana is home to the state’s only PGA TOUR event, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. A stadium design brings golf fans up close to the action at every hole, making for a superb spectator experience. TPC Louisiana is consistently included in GolfWeek’s “Best Courses You Can Play” each year.

TPC Louisiana is currently seeking PART-TIME COURSE ADVISORS/STARTERS to serve our members and guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Assist PGA TOUR players, Members and Guests with their golfing needs, ensuring that every step of their golf experience at the club runs as smoothly and is as enjoyable as possible. 
• Greet and welcome all Members and Guests and positively promote the service philosophy of the TPC and PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties, Inc.
• Communicate emergency and safety information to Members and Guests in a calm and clear professional manner when alarm is sounded.
• Observe play on the golf course and ensure the standard is communicated and maintained daily as it relates to pace of play.
• Assist Members and Guests with information that may help them play the course (e.g., yardage markers on sprinkler heads to middle of green).
• Assist with the upkeep and management of the practice facility
• Able to assist with picking the range, cleaning carts and closing outside operations tasks as needed.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

• Previous experience in customer service; golf country club experience preferred
• Good organizational skills
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills
• Good verbal communication skills (must communicate with players and via two-way radio)
• Work as a team
• Demonstrate initiative
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Required Skills Required Experience

• Valid Class B CDL and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and customers at all times.
• Ability to work outdoors with exposure to extreme heat and cold and other outdoor environmental conditions.
• Ability to operate equipment, tools and controls, perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists and feet, frequent reaching, climbing (up and down the truck several times a day), stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting and lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and OT.
• Ability to pass pre-employment processes including criminal background check, DOT physical, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Report.
• Ability to wear and use required Personal Protective Equipment.
