Clinical Mental Health Counselor: Youth Recovery Program (LMHP or LMHP-R)

The Position: We’re actively looking for an LMHP or LMHP-R to work with our Client’s TREE program, which provides substance abuse and mental health disorder recovery services for adolescents, transitional-aged youth, and their families.
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $42,124 to $72,584 (depending on experience and licensure status).

Responsibilities:
- 37.5 hours per week
- Assess the needs of adolescents and transitional-aged youth who are struggling with addiction and mental health disorders.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans and support services.
- Provide support to the individual through individual, family and group counseling.
Requirements:
- Must have completed a 60-credit Master’s Degree (with 600 completed intern hours) in relevant Human Service field (Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Etc.)
- Licensure in the state of Virginia as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LSATP or LMHP-R.
- One year of experience providing services to youth and transitional-aged youth (young adults).
- Ability to participate in and successfully pass behavioral intervention training; includes both verbal de-escalation skills and physical skills techniques to be utilized when needed
- No Virginia Barrier Crimes on Record. See the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) for list of VA Barrier Crimes.
- Must have valid Drivers License
- Willingness to travel to any worksite within Lynchburg area, transport clients, provide services to clients at other locations.
- Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse treatment modalities/services.
- Knowledge of psychiatric medications and treatments.
