    Description

    We are seeking a talented, qualified individual to join our company as a Computer Systems Network Technician. Working with our lead DevSecOps and Network Engineer, you will install, troubleshoot, maintain, configure a mix of hardware and software devices. A critical thinker that enjoys a hands-on environment, with the ability to solve problems independently. 

    In this position, you would be required to help maintain a small research and development (R&D) lab that doubles as a demo space for clients. Additionally, benchmark latest hardware with various software packages and new releases. Occasional client-side support as needed on a case by case basis. Our ideal candidate has considerable professional experience in an IT-relevant role, with knowledge of networking, cabling, software, firmware, and basic command line abilities. Knowledge of Linux is a huge plus. Knowledge of sensors, IoT, CCTV security cameras, streaming video is also a plus.

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze existing systems and infrastructure to determine upgrade needs and integration possibilities.
    • Combine subsystems into cohesive units to better support business objectives.
    • Communicate with vendors to determine ideal subsystem pricing and sourcing.
    • Report to leadership and colleagues regarding infrastructure and system statuses.

    Requirements:

    • At least two years of experience in an IT-related role, preferably with a mix of hardware and software responsibilities.
    • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant field, or commensurate experience.
    • Experience with project management and product and software development.
    • Familiarity with SQL, Linux, and/or cloud-based web services.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Enjoys technology, problem solving, and the creative process.
    • Excellent communicator, both orally and with the written word.
