Responsibilities: • Facilitate title search and prepare title abstract and title opinion • Analyze liens, plat books, contracts, agreements, surveys, maps, public records, and leases to verify ownership, legal description, and restrictions • Verify there are no real estate title defects or title issues such as liens, wills, claims, deeds, mortgages, or fraud once property search is complete • Work effectively throughout the closing process with a variety of industry professionals such as real estate agents, settlement agents, title insurance agents, law firms, escrow officers, closing agents, paralegals, and escrow companies • Ensure all legal documents at the county and federal level have been recorded and present deed to new owners Qualifications: • Meet state licensing requirements -- title producers license is a plus • High school diploma required -- college degree preferred • 3-5 years of experience in title closing, title examiner, abstractor, or closing services is required • The ideal candidate will be process-driven, highly analytical and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills • Microsoft Office Suite proficient Compensation: $52,000 - $90,000
