PennTex Ventures, LLC (PTV) is a boutique commercial real estate development firm. We have a proven track record of delivering to demanding commercial clients, overcoming hurdles in site development, and assisting in strategic planning for retailer roll-out plans.

Capital Development Settlement Services (CDSS) is a title insurance company and subsidiary of PennTex Ventures that supports PTV’s acquisition and disposition of its development properties as well as providing title and closing services to outside clients.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role as a Closing Agent at CDSS in Pittsburgh, PA. The Closing Agent will be responsible for managing escrow and closing processes, providing exceptional customer service, notarizing documents, and ensuring compliance with title insurance and escrow requirements. This is a growing business with annual closings in excess of $50 million dollars, and an excellent opportunity for a talented title agent to grow with it.

Qualifications

• Experience in escrow and closings
• Strong customer service skills
• Notary certification
• Knowledge of title insurance requirements
• Significant experience managing commercial real estate closings
• License to issue title policies in Pennsylvania; and willingness to pursue a license, in one or more of the following states: Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and Ohio

Skills

• Ability to work independently to orchestrate closings and issue title policies
• Ability to manage multiple closings and title projects on tight deadlines
• Strong internal and external communication skills
• Experienced in Microsoft Office’s suite of products
• General familiarity with real estate development processes
