Job Description: Construction Manager
Reports to: Operations Manager
Role: The Construction Manager is responsible for the construction of all residential roofing projects at all To Serve Contracting locations (California, North Carolina, Minnesota). They oversee all of material and crew pricing, manage and lead the entire production team by ensuring that all jobs produced by the To Serve sales team are produced on budget and within the allotted time frames. They also make sure that the highest quality is produced at all times while maintaining a flawless accident and OSHA record. Any and all areas of construction are led and managed by the Construction Manager.
Responsibilities
Monitor all phases of construction and know how to perform the jobs of every area in the production department
Develop, implement, and monitor reports that track the progress of every job in production
Work with suppliers to ensure that all pricing is the best that it can be
Work with in house crews sub-contractors to make sure all pricing is the best it can be
Review all contracts received and review forecasted profitability
Creates all material orders and work order by job
Schedule all material deliveries
Schedule all installations
Coordinate delivery of any additional jobsite services needed such as dumpsters, sanitation and lift equipment as needed
Track and resolve all production related issues and warranty calls (on commercial projects)
Track the overall time frames of each location making sure that all jobs are being produced on time and within budget
Correct any breakdowns in the construction department as they arise
Ensure that quality is always being maintained
Maintain an above average amount of sub-contractors in each trade that To Serve performs
Requirements
Experience utilizing Xactimate software
Expert level knowledge in residential exteriors remodeling
Above average knowledge of shingle roofing systems
Ability to read and understand CAD drawings
Experience with restoration insurance claims
Experience with managing subcontractors
Excellent leadership skills
Excellent communication skills
High attention to detail
Familiar with OSHA roofing regulations (certification is a plus)

Jobs are reviewed, prepped, ordered in built within time frames and budget
Company profit margins are preserved
Work with operations manager to source, train and hire any production related positions as needed
Work with operations manager to source, train and hire any subcontractors as needed
Maintain the highest level of quality
Reporting
Monthly production reports that show average production time per job
Monthly reports that show average cost margins for jobs for each material and labor
Monthly reports that show jobs entered and produced per location
