    JOB SUMMARY:

    THE LEARNING CONSULTANT __ WILL BE PRIMARILY FOCUSED ON CREATION, MANAGEMENT AND FACILITATION OF EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS AND EXPERIENCES THAT GENERATE AWARENESS OF, FACILITATE CUSTOMER ONBOARDING AND SUCCESS WITH, AND SUPPORT THE SUCCESSFUL JOURNEY THROUGH ACQUIRING AAC AND SPECIFICALLY, THE TOBII DYNAVOX PORTFOLIO OF PRODUCTS IN THE NORTH AMERICAN MARKET.   THIS ROLE __ WILL SUPPORT TOBII DYNAVOX IN CREATING AND MAINTAINING MARKET INTEREST, LOYALTY, AND REVENUE.

    THE LEARNING CONSULTANT __ WILL SCOPE, CREATE, AND FACILITATE INSIGHTFUL AND ENGAGING EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL CUSTOMER TRAININGS THROUGH VARIOUS DELIVERY MODALITIES.  CLINICAL EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD OF AAC MAY BE REQUIRED FOR CERTAIN LEARNING PROGRAMS.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIES: 

    Depending on organizational and customer needs, the focus on specific key responsibilities and competencies may vary for individual Learning Consultants and/or evolve over time. In general, Learning Consultants are required to possess 4 main competencies:

    LEARNING FACILITATION

    • Demonstrate strong presentation and facilitation skills to drive meaningful and engaging learning experiences for internal and external customers onsite, live virtually, and/or through asynchronous learning.
    • Provide support for strategic conference and trade shows, both live and virtually

    LEARNING DESIGN AND CONTENT CREATION

    • Design and develop engaging trainings and programs for internal and external customers.
    • Write articles for the company, social media, and trade magazines.

    SUBJECT MATTER AND LEARNING DOMAIN EXPERTISE

    • Support Tobii Dynavox customers and business with clinical, educational, research, business, and learning expertise. This support may include:
    • Current knowledge of research and best practices in AAC, AT, and related fields
    • Proven success and experience in low-tech through high-tech AAC implementations with children and adults
    • Knowledge of adult learning theory and learning design
    • Knowledge of the funded medical device process
    • Demonstrable competency for the entire Tobii Dynavox product portfolio which includes eye gaze technology, devices and hardware, software (including Boardmaker), and accessories and peripherals
    • Demonstrable knowledge of products’ value to various customers, product application and utilization, product implementation, and user setup/configuration

    PROJECT MANAGEMENT

    • Possess the ability to consider expressed customer needs and propose and create solutions that solve the need, generate value for the business, and leverage the learning team’s processes.
    • Work and lead collaboratively on initiatives that span various business functions.
    • Demonstrate attention to detail in organization, reporting, and compliance tasks.
    • Communicate effectively.
    • In addition, Learning Consultants should:
    • Exemplify the desired culture, values, and philosophies of the organization.
    • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachleor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Education, Instructional Design, or Curriculum and Instruction or related field
    • Experience in training roles such as a trainer, instructional designer, or content writer a plus
    • Experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Special Educator, or in a related field a plus
    • For SLPs, current licensure / ASHA CCC preferred.
    • Experience with Tobii Dynavox and/or Boardmaker products preferred.
    • Demonstrated success in providing quality learning experiences and keeping a customer focus in a fast-paced environment.
    • Some learning programs require the ability to travel up to approximately 50% throughout North America and work flexible hours when needed to support business needs.
    • Ability to learn and use products in the company’s portfolio quickly to support ongoing and evolving training needs, savvy with technology.

    COMMUNICATION & COLLABORATION SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Strong written and oral communication skills (English)
    • Ability to communicate effectively and influence others all levels within an organization and externally.
    • Work collaboratively as part of a team
    • Work and communicate effectively with a remote team.
    • Remain calm, professional, and focused in a stressful environment.
    • Demonstrate excellent listening skills.
    • Communicate complex topics in a simple and straightforward manner.

    COMPUTER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • MS Office and 365 - PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams, Outlook; ability to effectively use Windows OS
    • Familiar with popular social media sites and applications such as Facebook and Instagram
    • TechSmith Camtasia and Snagit
    • Content authoring tools such as Articulate Rise or Captivate
    • Cloud storage solutions
    • Adobe Acrobat
    • Zoom
    • Favro / internal project management tools
    • Experience with Tobii Dynavox and/or Boardmaker products

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS
