    International Trade Paralegal — Washington, DC
    We are working with a major law firm that is seeking a highly motivated International Trade Paralegal with at least 2+ years’ experience to join its Washington, DC office. This role provides specialized paraprofessional support in the International Trade Regulation and Litigation practices at the Firm. This a non-exempt position that reports to the Paralegal Supervisor with working hours of 9:00 am to 5:30 pm M-F. Billable hours requirement is 1700. 

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • BS/BA from an accredited college or university is required.
    • 2-7+ years’ work experience as a paralegal in an AmLaw 100 firm or boutique firm specializing in international trade. Related work experience with professionals in international trade, Federal agency filings, or similar complex legal work is highly preferred.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with individuals at all levels of the Firm in an appropriate and professional manner.
    • Strong service orientation, sense of accountability, and attention to detail are essential.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and Word.
    • Familiarity with the Department of Commerce’s ACCESS system and the International Trade Commission’s EDIS system.
    • Able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and comfortable with demanding deadlines, including overtime as casework demands.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Finalize and submit case filings before the Department of Commerce and International Trade Commission in antidumping and countervailing duty and other trade remedy proceedings and related matters.
    • Finalize and submit court filings before the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in trade remedy litigation.
    • Conduct economic research and analysis in support of trade remedies, trade policy, and litigation matters.
    • Interact with outside entities (e.g. courts, government agencies, expert witnesses, corporations, vendors, and other law firms) to coordinate activities as needed in support of assigned cases.
    • Draft and prepare legal and other documents as requested by lawyers in support of international trade filings.
    • Create and maintain effective working relationships to facilitate a positive and productive work environment.
    • Adhere to Firm policies, practices, and initiatives.
    • Perform other duties as requested by Firm management.

    Compensation will be dependent on experience; base salary is flexible.
