Harbor View Creative Learning Center is looking for an Experienced Toddler Assistant with a qualifying letter to join our team!
** We are looking for staff with a North Carolina qualifying letter, a recent TB test, and a physical.
Pay starts between $17.00 and $20.00 based on education and experience.
After the probation period, we do evaluations every 60 days. If you meet all requirements for our program, you will be able to get a raise at each evaluation.

Responsibilities:
Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).
Track children's progress and report to parents (Tadpole's app)
Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background
Collaborate with other educators
Help with potty training
Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
Excellent communication and instructional skills
Ability to act as a mediator between children
Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
