Toddler Assistant Teacher - Daycare & Early Childhood Education Location: The Learning Experience - Meridian, ID Pay: $16-$18 per hour, based on experience and credentials Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

The Learning Experience - Meridian is seeking a caring and dependable Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to build or continue a career in childcare. You'll work alongside experienced teachers to create a nurturing, engaging classroom where toddlers can explore, build independence, and develop important early skills.

Key Responsibilities

Support Lead Teachers with daily Toddler classroom routines and learning activities

Engage children through play, art, music, movement, sensory activities, and hands-on learning

Support language development, independence, and positive social interactions

Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions

Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance

Help prepare classroom activities and learning materials

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment

Build positive relationships with children and families

Collaborate with teachers and center leadership

Follow Idaho childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Previous daycare, preschool, childcare, or experience working with children preferred

Toddler classroom experience is a plus

CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus

Patient, dependable, energetic, and team-oriented

Ability to meet Idaho childcare licensing requirements
