    Are you a nurturing person that’s passionate about shaping the minds of early childhood-aged children? The Goddard School of Waxhaw is looking to add a qualified Toddler Lead Teacher to our 5-star school!

    The Goddard School located at 1528 Providence Road S Waxhaw, North Carolina has been open since 2011 and has 150 children under our care. We are the premier preschool for children from six weeks to six years old and are committed to providing a safe, dynamic, and loving environment where children develop into joyful, confident learners! Our talented teachers collaborate with parents to ensure that their child is ready for school and life beyond.     Salary range of $18+ per hour based on experience

    What’s it like to be a teacher at our School?

    Supervise classroom and co-lead all classroom activities throughout the course of the day

    Observe children’s interests and work with co-teachers to develop creative ideas for implementing the Wonder of Learning curriculum

    Develop weekly lesson plans alongside our Curriculum Coordinator

    Feel a sense of accomplishment as you experience the laughter and wonder of children participating in activities you planned

    Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions

    Engage with other childcare professionals and continue to grow in your profession

    Qualifications

    Associate/Bachelor in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred

    At least 1 year of teaching experience in a classroom setting

    At least 1 year of experience working with children aged 1 to 2.5 years

    Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, parents, and faculty members

    Works cooperatively alongside all co-teachers and school resource teachers

    Works productively without supervision within established organizational policies and procedures

    Is highly motivated and takes direction well

    Ability to complete weekly lesson plans and carry them out within the classroom

    Must be committed to following Goddard and state licensing guidelines to ensure the health, safety, and education of all children

    Must be able to lift 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
