About the Role:
Maes Learning Academy in Hopewell, VA is looking for a passionate and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our growing team! Responsibilities:
Plan and implement age-appropriate, developmentally focused lesson plans for toddlers
Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
Monitor and support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child
Maintain open, positive communication with parents and guardians regarding daily activities and child progress
Follow all childcare licensing regulations, health, and safety protocols
Assist with diapering, feeding, nap routines, and other daily care needs
Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support a positive classroom and school culture
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; CDA credential or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
Previous experience working with toddlers or in an early childhood setting strongly preferred
Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
Ability to pass a background check and meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Patient, energetic, and compassionate demeanor with a genuine love for young children
Strong communication and teamwork skills
