    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated, flexible, and passionate Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of toddler development and experience in creating and implementing lesson plans that support growth in all learning domains. This individual should love working with children, be patient and nurturing, and have a proactive approach to classroom management and communication with families.

    Key Responsibilities

    Create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum goals and support each child’s developmental milestones

    Understand and follow early childhood standards and curriculum frameworks (e.g., Abeka, Learning Beyond Paper, or equivalent)

    Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment

    Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of toddlers at all times

    Assist children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, potty training, dressing, and hygiene

    Use developmentally appropriate practices to support emotional and behavioral needs

    Conduct assessments and track developmental progress of each child

    Communicate effectively and professionally with parents, staff, and administration

    Collaborate with assistant teachers and school leadership to ensure consistent classroom quality

    Be flexible with scheduling, classroom coverage, and program needs

    Qualifications

    CDA, Associate’s Degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred or required based on state licensing requirements)

    Minimum of 1–2 years experience working in a toddler classroom

    Strong understanding of lesson planning, classroom routines, and toddler development

    Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced childcare environment

    CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

    Must be able to pass background checks and meet state childcare licensing requirements
